For this assignment we'll program the ticket system used at the gate. This will be a screen in which a festival employee can click on a vehicle (for parking purposes) and in addition can indicate how many persons want to enter the terrain. The goal is to calculate the total ticket price.

The screen has to be simple. 6 images of different vehicles will be visible. Think of a camper, caravan, motorcycle, bicycle or a car. As soon as the employee clicks on a vehicle image the other ones disappear. Below the images there's an entry field in which the employee can enter the number of people. Finally the employee can click on a button and the total price will be shown. Below a small sketch made by the employee:

How to build this?

Do mind that programming is, especially in the beginning, paying attention to where you click and what you type. An inconsistent usage of capitals is often an important error most people make and could lead to lots of frustrations.

If you haven't done it already, make a new project (File --> New --> Project). Choose a Windows Forms App (.Net Framework). If you don't know exactly anymore how to do this then take a look in a few modules back where this is described.
Drag 6 PictureBoxes on the new empty form of your program and position them like the sketch above.
Also drag a Label and a NumericUpDown. Just like the sketch.
Finally at the bottom drag a Button to finish all the necessary elements for this screen.
Adjust the text of the Button and the Label.
Search and download a few vehicle images from the internet and make sure the PictureBoxes get those images to show in your form.

To get it to work we have to write a few lines of source code. Double click your first PictureBox (a vehicle). Now write the code to let the other PictureBoxes (vehicles) disappear. In the code of PictureBox1 (the first vehicle) something like this should be written:

pictureBox2.Hide();
pictureBox3.Hide();
pictureBox4.Hide();
// etc.

The source code of the Button (double click on that one) could look something like this:

This is a simple formula charging €50,- for a parking spot and €20,- per person.
