The problem:

If you operate the potmeters with the original code, you will see that the potmeters work, but that the colour of the potmeter does not match the colour shown by the LED.

You can see this in the original example:

the potmeter on the left, which we want to use for the colour red, controls the green colour of the led;
the middle potmeter, which we want to use for the colour green, controls the blue colour of the led;
the potmeter on the right, which we would like to use for the colour blue, controls the red colour of the LED.

Analysis:

It seems that the code and the circuit do not match in colour. The problem can be in two places:

the potmeters, which the Arduino reads out;
the LED colours, which the Arduino controls.

If we look at the potentiometers, we see that the left (red) potentiometer is connected to input A0, the middle (green) to A1 and the right (blue) to A2.

If we look at the piece of code, which tells us something about which pins the potmeters are connected to, we see:

The names of the variables, which are linked to the pins, correspond to the pins to which we actually connected the potmeters with that colour.

In short ... this is not the problem.

However, if we look at the connection of the LEDs, we see that the red LED pin is connected to port 11, the blue to port 10 and the green to port 9:

This does not correspond to the piece of code that describes how the pins are connected to the arduino:

Solution:

We can do two things now. Either we can connect the wires differently, so that the code does not have to be changed, or we can change the code to fit the current scheme. Because changing software is generally a lot faster, we opt for the latter solution. The code is now:
